uninterrupted provision is guaranteed in the public interest by the state and local communities. Based on the principle of solidarity, these services are provided in accordance with regulations governing healthcare and health insurance as rights of compulsory health insurance. They are financed entirely or partially from public funds, primarily from compulsory health insurance. Our primary healthcare activity includes monitoring the health status of children and proposing measures for the protection, strengthening, and improvement of health, as well as the prevention, detection, treatment, and rehabilitation of children. Another important task is health education and counseling for the maintenance and strengthening of health.<\/p>\n<p>At the Juventina baby clinic, by signing the statement of chosen physician and having a confirmed health insurance card, you have the option to use your child's mandatory health insurance, making all services of this type free of charge. If the health insurance card is not confirmed, you will pay for the examination yourself according to the ZZZS (Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia) price list. For children who do not have a pediatrician chosen at our institution, you can have an examination as a self-pay patient.<\/p>\n<p>The number of children cared for by a selected pediatrician is limited and determined by the contract between the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia (ZZZS) and the concessionaire. Therefore, it may happen that we cannot accept your child for treatment within the program for which ZZZS is the payer due to capacity limitations. This right can be exercised by the beneficiary until the child reaches the age of 18 or as long as parental rights last. In the event that the other spouse is unemployed, retired, or can provide care without impediment from work, such a right does not apply. The duration of the right to compensation is limited to 7 working days (older children aged 7 and over) or 15 working days (younger children under 7 years of age, or older children if they have moderate, severe or profound intellectual and physical disabilities).
