The pose is suitable for:

  • accumulated fat tissue on the abdomen
  • abdominal muscle separation (diastasis)
  • loose skin on the abdomen
  • This condition is common in women after childbirth or significant weight loss. The term abdominoplasty encompasses procedures to remove excess skin and/or fat from the abdominal wall.
Abdominal wall correction is intended for individuals experiencing excess skin, fat, or looseness of the abdominal wall, which often occurs after pregnancy or significant weight loss. This procedure not only improves appearance but also enhances core stability and posture, impacting overall movement and well-being.

Procedure Description

Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat, and if necessary, tighten the abdominal wall. At Juventina, each procedure is planned individually, taking into account the patient's anatomy, desires, and lifestyle.

The segment may include:

  • Removal of excess skin and fat
  • tummy tuck
  • Umbilical repositioning to the natural position
  • Abdominal muscle strengthening (for diastasis)
  • additional liposuction for a more defined result

Modern Surgical Techniques for Abdominal Correction

Abdominoplasty is an individually tailored surgical procedure designed to remove excess skin and fat tissue, and to improve the shape of the abdominal wall. When planning the procedure, the surgeon considers the patient's abdominal anatomy, skin quality, separation of abdominal muscles, and the individual's desired final appearance.

We know of various techniques, which we choose together with the patient after a prior examination and consultation. For abdominoplasty, a young, healthy, non-smoking person with a body mass index (BMI) close to normal or within the normal range is most suitable.

During the procedure, we use modern techniques that enable:

  • precise silhouette shaping
  • Optimal healing
  • Aesthetic scar revision (bikini line)

With an in-depth discussion and precise examination, along with the correct selection of surgical techniques, abdominoplasty can effectively reshape the abdominal wall and remove skin-fat folds. With additional suturing of muscle sheaths and liposuction, the shape and firmness of the abdominal wall can be permanently and significantly altered.

The goal is a flat, firm, and naturally shaped abdomen, which restores a youthful appearance to the body and is in harmony with the individual's figure.

Preparation for surgery

The first step is a thorough consultation, where we assess the condition of the skin, muscles, and adipose tissue.

We recommend:

  • Stable body weight
  • Quit smoking at least 4 weeks before the procedure
  • Avoiding medications that affect blood clotting
Within the Juventina Care 360° supplementary program, we offer comprehensive preparation for the procedure, fast and effective recovery after the procedure, and advanced therapies for a better outcome.

Procedure steps

We perform a classic abdominoplasty under general anesthesia with an incision transversely above the pubic bone, extending to the anterior edges of both iliac crests. This incision is in the same location as a cesarean section scar (bikini line). We elevate the subcutaneous tissue from the muscular sheath of the abdominal wall to the lower edge of the sternum. During this process, we preserve the perforating vessels, which promotes better healing. We then excise the excess skin with subcutaneous fat and reposition the navel to a new location. If we detect or suspect laxity of the abdominal wall before and during the surgery, we will suture the muscular sheaths together. If, after excising the skin, there is still excess fatty tissue accumulated in the lumbar or upper abdominal areas, we will perform additional liposuction. We conclude the surgery with drainage and layered skin sutures.

Make an incision in the lower abdomen (bikini line)
Remove excess skin and fat
Tighten the abdominal wall as needed
The contour of the abdomen is being reshaped
Place the belly button back in its natural position.
If needed, we combine abdominoplasty with liposuction for further contouring.

The result is a harmoniously shaped abdomen with a natural silhouette.

Recovery and Post-Procedure Support

Recovery after an abdominoplasty is an important part of the process, as proper healing affects the long-term aesthetic result and patient satisfaction. After the procedure, swelling, a feeling of tightness, and tenderness in the abdominal area are usually present, which is a normal part of recovery. In the first few weeks, we recommend wearing compression garments that support the abdominal wall and help reduce swelling and improve tissue healing. Most patients can gradually return to lighter daily activities after a few weeks, while more strenuous physical activities are recommended in consultation with the surgeon. Regular follow-up appointments allow for monitoring of recovery and ensuring optimal aesthetic results. With appropriate post-operative support, adherence to instructions, and a healthy lifestyle, the results of the procedure can be maintained long-term.

After surgery, the following may be present:

  • Feeling of tension
  • Swelling and bruising
  • Mild to moderate pain

After the procedure, patients are fitted with an abdominal binder, which they must wear continuously for at least six weeks. Following the procedure, we recommend lying down with legs bent and using compression stockings.

For best results, we recommend:

Wearing a compression corset
Avoiding physical exertion in the first few weeks
Gradual increase in activity
Proper scar care

Most patients return to light activities within 2-3 weeks. With an additional program Juventina Care 360° we enable you to recover quickly and effectively and offer advanced therapies for better results.
