Scar revision is suitable for individuals who have:

  • Visibile or aesthetically displeasing scars
  • Thickened or widened scars
  • Uneven or irregular scars
  • Adhesions that cause tightness or limited range of motion
  • Scarring after injuries, surgeries, or burns
Scarring is a natural part of healing, but in certain cases, scars can become aesthetically or functionally bothersome. It is important to understand that we cannot completely remove a scar – but we can improve it, soften it, and aesthetically adjust it to the surrounding tissue.

Procedure Description

Scar revision is an individually planned procedure in which advanced surgical techniques and sometimes reconstructive approaches are used to improve the appearance and function of the skin.

At Juventini, we consider each case holistically, taking into account:

  • Scar type
  • Her age and location
  • Skin quality
  • Functional problems

The segment may include:

  • Scar tissue excision
  • Clearing brambles
  • Reshaping a scar into a less noticeable line
  • Use of reconstructive techniques (local flaps, skin grafts)

We use advanced surgical approaches:

  • Multi-layer stitching to reduce stress
  • Careful placement of cuts into natural skin lines
  • Intradermal sutures with no visible marks

The goal is a softer, less visible, and functionally improved scar, as well as restored self-confidence for the individual by reducing scar visibility.

Most common types of scars:

Preparation for surgery

The first step is a thorough examination where we assess the scar and determine the optimal correction method.

It is important to consider:

  • The resin must generally be aged (6–12 months).
  • Good general health
  • Quit smoking at least 4 weeks before the procedure

As part of the supplementary program Juventina Care 360° We will support you with comprehensive pre-operative preparation and enable quick and effective recovery using advanced regeneration therapies.

Procedure steps

In the procedure, we use an advanced surgical technique, excising scar tissue, releasing adhesions, reshaping the new scar, and hiding the incisions in skin folds or along the border between two aesthetic units. The tissue is sutured in multiple layers to relieve tension, minimizing the pull of surrounding tissue on the wound. For skin closure, we use an intradermal suture, which leaves no visible marks on the skin surface. For scar corrections on the arm and burn scars, we often employ various reconstructive surgery techniques, including skin grafting or the use of free tissue transfer.

Remove or reshape scar tissue
Relax the tension in the surrounding tissue.
A new, more aesthetically pleasing scar is forming
Use techniques for optimal healing

In more complex cases (e.g., after burns or injuries):

  • Let's use reconstructive techniques
  • Skin or tissue grafts

The foundation is based on high precision and experience in reconstructive surgery, where Juventina's team has a significant advantage in the exceptional experience and high professional qualifications of its surgeons.

Recovery

After surgery, the following may be present:

  • Mild pain
  • Swelling
  • Feeling of tightness

Wound healing is a complex process influenced by good surgical technique, an individual's genetic characteristics, and their overall condition. To a large extent, good wound healing also depends on you. You can positively influence it with rest and adjusted activity, proper care, adequate nutrition, and abstaining from smoking for at least 4 weeks before the procedure and at least 2 weeks after the procedure.
