The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia. During the procedure, excess and sagging skin and mucous membrane are excised, and the labia minora are reshaped. The procedure takes approximately 45 minutes. We use various techniques for excising the mucocutaneous area. Typically, the mucous membrane is sutured with resorbable stitches, which then dissolve on their own within a few weeks. For improved aesthetics, fat grafting (lipofilling) is usually performed concurrently. This procedure, done under local anesthesia, involves manually harvesting the patient's own fat from the abdomen or inner thighs using a larger syringe. The purified fat is then prepared in smaller syringes and injected into precisely determined areas of the labia majora to reshape them. This part of the procedure takes approximately 60 minutes and includes both the harvesting and injection (infiltration) of the fat.
