This is a procedure where individual treatment is key, as the choice of technique and intensity is adapted to the individual's skin type and goals.
Laser rejuvenation is a non-surgical medical procedure that uses light energy to selectively target and treat superficial and deeper layers of the skin. The laser removes damaged skin layers while simultaneously stimulating fibroblasts, which produce new collagen—the key element for firm, smooth, and youthful skin. For the correction of surface skin changes and skin rejuvenation, we use lasers that emit light of longer wavelengths (2,940 nm), which is well absorbed by water molecules.
For the removal of some changes, a single treatment is sufficient, while for others, treatment is carried out at intervals of several weeks. Laser treatment does not cause patients significant discomfort. Minor changes in adults are usually treated without prior anesthesia; in most other cases, local anesthesia in the form of EMLA cream is used, which is applied to the treated area half an hour before the procedure. Treatment of larger changes requires local or general anesthesia.
With invasive rejuvenation techniques, the treatment effects are very noticeable, but the side effects and healing period are somewhat longer.
Before the procedure, we perform a skin examination and determine the optimal approach. We recommend:
It is important to align expectations regarding the results and course of treatment before the procedure.
You can expect some pain after the procedure. The intensity and duration of the pain will vary from person to person and depend on the procedure, anatomy, and patient's personality. Pain perception is subjective and cannot be compared between patients. The pain usually subsides within a few days after the therapy.
After surgery, the following may be present:
These effects are temporary and will disappear within a few days to weeks, depending on the intensity of the procedure. The result develops gradually, as the skin renews itself over several months.
