Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat, and if necessary, tighten the abdominal wall. At Juventina, each procedure is planned individually, taking into account the patient's anatomy, desires, and lifestyle.
The segment may include:
The first step is a thorough consultation, where we assess the condition of the skin, muscles, and adipose tissue.
We recommend:
We perform a classic abdominoplasty under general anesthesia with an incision transversely above the pubic bone, extending to the anterior edges of both iliac crests. This incision is in the same location as a cesarean section scar (bikini line). We elevate the subcutaneous tissue from the muscular sheath of the abdominal wall to the lower edge of the sternum. During this process, we preserve the perforating vessels, which promotes better healing. We then excise the excess skin with subcutaneous fat and reposition the navel to a new location. If we detect or suspect laxity of the abdominal wall before and during the surgery, we will suture the muscular sheaths together. If, after excising the skin, there is still excess fatty tissue accumulated in the lumbar or upper abdominal areas, we will perform additional liposuction. We conclude the surgery with drainage and layered skin sutures.
The result is a harmoniously shaped abdomen with a natural silhouette.
Recovery after an abdominoplasty is an important part of the process, as proper healing affects the long-term aesthetic result and patient satisfaction. After the procedure, swelling, a feeling of tightness, and tenderness in the abdominal area are usually present, which is a normal part of recovery. In the first few weeks, we recommend wearing compression garments that support the abdominal wall and help reduce swelling and improve tissue healing. Most patients can gradually return to lighter daily activities after a few weeks, while more strenuous physical activities are recommended in consultation with the surgeon. Regular follow-up appointments allow for monitoring of recovery and ensuring optimal aesthetic results. With appropriate post-operative support, adherence to instructions, and a healthy lifestyle, the results of the procedure can be maintained long-term.
After surgery, the following may be present:
After the procedure, patients are fitted with an abdominal binder, which they must wear continuously for at least six weeks. Following the procedure, we recommend lying down with legs bent and using compression stockings.
Most patients return to light activities within 2-3 weeks. With an additional program Juventina Care 360° we enable you to recover quickly and effectively and offer advanced therapies for better results.
